Mentoring and coaching are very effective tools for developing people – both individually and as a team. This training is focused on teaching managers how to use elements of both approaches in their everyday work. The aim is not to turn managers into professional mentors or coaches, but to teach them to apply elements of both approaches in their work, enabling them to support the growth and performance of their subordinates. Participants will learn when it is appropriate to use a direct mentoring approach and when it is more effective to guide with questions and support the employee in finding solutions.
