It also focuses on essential skills for today’s workplace, including building psychological safety, collaborating across generations, and communicating and presenting with impact.

MBA Program Modules

1. Fundamentals of Management

An introduction to the basic framework for leading and developing a team. We will focus on key management principles, the managerial role, and the challenges of management. We will explore different approaches to management, from directive (hierarchical) to participative (self-managing teams), giving participants the opportunity to understand the advantages of each style and when to use them effectively.

2. Managerial Psychology

This module focuses on understanding interpersonal differences. Participants will learn simple personality-typing principles that can serve as a foundation for communication when working with goals, feedback, and motivation. Adapting communication to different personality types within a team can increase effectiveness and improve collaboration. The module introduces participants to the two-dimensional Social Styles model.

3. Performance Management – Priorities / Direction / Goals

We will focus on how managers work with goals and tasks. Participants will gain practical tools for prioritizing, setting, and communicating goals and tasks. We will also explore the basic psychological principles behind how people respond to goals, tasks, and performance measurement. An important part of the workshop is improving individual and team effectiveness and motivation.

4. Managerial Feedback Skills

The workshop focuses on both the psychological aspects of giving and receiving feedback and practical techniques that can be used immediately in management practice – from simple one-minute feedback to more comprehensive developmental feedback that borders on coaching. We will explore how to gradually build a culture of open feedback within a company or team.

5. People Development – Mentoring and Coaching

Participants will gain tools that can be immediately applied to individual and team development. We will explore and explain several basic coaching techniques that are easy to apply while remaining highly effective. The aim of this module is not to turn participants into professional coaches, but to provide them with practical tools for incorporating coaching and mentoring into people development and leadership.

6. Effective Team Meeting Management

Facilitation skills and techniques are essential for managers who want to lead teams effectively. By mastering these techniques, managers can increase the productivity of meetings, discussions, and team interactions. In this module, participants will learn the key tools for facilitation, meeting management, and managing team interactions.

7. Selecting the Right People for Your Team

This module focuses on defining selection criteria and conducting effective interviews, including the use of behavioral questions. Participants will learn how to identify candidates’ potential and motivation and how to involve the team in the selection process, reducing the risk of a poor fit and increasing the chances of successfully filling a position.

8. Team Collaboration and Cross-Generational Collaboration

Participants will explore effective team collaboration through practical models and tools for understanding team dynamics, such as stages of team development and models of team dysfunction. We will also focus on understanding generational differences in the workplace and their impact on collaboration, communication, and expectations within teams. Participants will learn how to consciously work with team dynamics while taking generational diversity into account to strengthen team performance and cohesion.

9. Motivation and Psychological Safety in Teams

We will focus on understanding the most common causes of demotivation in teams and how to avoid them in management practice. Participants will work with factors that influence intrinsic motivation and performance, as well as developing an understanding of individual needs and motivators.

Special attention will be given to creating an environment of psychological safety, including Amy Edmondson’s four domains of psychological safety, and the manager’s role in supporting openness, learning, and accountability within the team.

10. Conflict Resolution in Teams

Participants will gain an overview of key principles and tools for managing team conflicts from a position of authority. We will focus on recognizing both open and hidden conflicts, understanding their causes and the needs of those involved, and managing conflict at different stages of escalation. We will explore practical approaches to conflict escalation and de-escalation, the basic principles of facilitating difficult conversations, and the use of emotional intelligence as a tool for managing relationships and performance within a team.

We will also explore how managers can consciously set boundaries, expectations, rules, and processes to help prevent conflicts, as well as how to foster understanding, trust, and collaboration when addressing an ongoing conflict.

11. Change Management

Participants will be introduced to the fundamental principles of change management and typical human responses to change. We will focus on the manager’s role in communicating change, working with resistance, and maintaining team engagement throughout transformation processes. We will explore how to plan and implement change so that it is clear, acceptable, and sustainable in practice.

12. Presentation and Persuasion Skills

This module focuses on structuring ideas for clear and persuasive communication. Participants will develop the verbal and non-verbal skills needed for effective presentations and learn how to adapt their delivery to different audiences. The goal is professional and persuasive communication that captures attention and influences the audience.

Program in Practice

The MBA Program Includes:

Interactive Online Workshops

2.5-hour interactive online workshops combining short theoretical sessions, breakout discussions, reflection, sharing, and quizzes. We have found that short, interactive workshops held at regular intervals are highly effective for development. Each workshop provides participants with practical techniques and tools to apply in their everyday practice.

Video Courses

Approximately 60-minute professionally produced video courses providing an expert overview of each module. Each video is complemented by individual assignments and recommended resources for further self-study.

AI Avatar Practice & Inspiration

Throughout the program, participants receive recommendations for books, podcasts, and videos related to the topics covered. After each module, they can practice their newly acquired skills with an AI sparring partner through written or voice-based role-play scenarios, followed by feedback.

Self-Study and Practical Assignments

Fast implementation is key to turning know-how and skills into practice. That is why the periods between modules are used for practical assignments that participants complete directly in their everyday work with their teams.

Semester Project

An individual project focused on applying and reflecting on the content covered during the first semester. Participants facilitate a workshop with their team and then submit a recording to a Maxman Consultants mentor for feedback and consultation.

Case Study Marathon

A full-day workshop where participants practice simulated management situations across a range of topics – from leading team meetings and delivering difficult messages to de-escalating conflicts and conducting performance reviews.

Final Project

An individual practical management project created and implemented within the participant’s current work environment. The goal is to introduce, implement, change, or improve a specific people-management process over the course of one quarter. The project should bring real value to the company or team.

Final Exam

Oral defense of the final project.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
What will the semester project involve?

The semester project takes place in December and its goal is to design and deliver an online workshop for your team (or colleagues from your company).

  • The workshop should last at least 60 minutes.
  • The topic should be based on one of the MMA topics (six modules will be provided in advance as online courses), or may combine several topics.
  • You can choose the topic based on the needs and focus of your team.
  • You will then submit a recording of the workshop to us.
  • In January, you will receive individual feedback from your tutor.

From February, you will continue with the online modules according to the program schedule.

What will the final project and exam involve?

The final project is individually tailored and takes the form of a specific leadership intervention within your company.

It is an activity that:

  • responds to a real need of the team or organization,
  • has a clearly defined goal,
  • includes the design and implementation of the intervention,
  • brings a concrete improvement to team functioning (e.g. in structure, goals, or communication).

The final exam takes the form of an oral defense of the final project.

Can I pay the participation fee in installments?

Yes, the participation fee can be paid either in full or in up to three installments.

The full amount must be paid no later than end of September. After registration, you will receive the General Terms and Conditions, which include a detailed installment schedule.

How flexible is the schedule during the MBA program?

The dates of the individual online workshops are fixed, while all other learning activities (online video zone and micro-assignments) can be completed according to your own schedule.

What technical equipment do I need?

For the best interaction, we recommend attending the online workshops on a computer or laptop (a phone is not recommended).

A good webcam, microphone, stable internet connection, and a quiet environment will help you stay focused and get the most out of the program.

Can I make up for a missed session?

The workshops are not repeated and cannot be attended on an alternative date.

However, if you miss a session, you can catch up through the online video zone and self-study, where recordings and additional materials related to the topic are available.
