Toxicity and counter-manipulative techniques
Intro
We connect theory with practice in a way that leads to lasting change
Both at work and in our private lives, we want to have a pleasant atmosphere, respectful relationships and an environment based on respect, transparency and fairness. However, this is often disrupted by the toxic behaviour of overly confident or manipulative individuals who try to exploit others for their own benefit, thereby fostering a psychologically unsafe culture characterised by high levels of tension and stress. What can I do to make the work environment safe for me and my team? How can I recognise and respond appropriately to manipulation? How can I broach difficult topics? During the training, we will look for answers to these questions together and you will receive specific tips on how to identify and deal with different types of toxic people. We will demonstrate communication techniques that will enable you to resist manipulative behaviour with greater calm and composure, and we will also work on a strategy for preparing to broach a difficult conversation.

Training methodology
Interactive, experiential, and practical
- short theoretical inputs
- practice of new techniques
- simulations
- facilitated discussions
- role plays
It is important for us that participants develop real practical skills; therefore, we maintain a ratio of 70/30 between practical experimentation and theoretical input during the training.
Participants have the opportunity to immediately try out and experience the techniques demonstrated and explained by the trainer, and, based on targeted feedback, adjust and gradually improve their performance.
