Critical thinking
Intro
Learning by doing – practical, engaging, and effective
In times of information overload and the need for quick decisions, critical thinking is an essential skill for every employee. The training will give participants insight into their thinking style, especially when considering complex and challenging topics or situations. Developing critical thinking requires understanding how people often fall into thinking traps when considering issues and recognising when we can trust our judgement and when it is appropriate to be more cautious. Participants will test their own thinking style, learn to identify common mistakes, and gain specific tools to improve their thought processes.
Key topics
Completing the training will help participants:
Test their thinking style in complex and challenging situations
Handle emotional and stressful situations without negatively impacting the quality of their decisions
Distinguish between facts, assumptions and opinions
Identify common errors in thinking and eliminate them in practice
Identify errors in reasoning and know how to respond to them in a discussion
Use tools such as “5 Whys” or polarities to develop critical thinking

- short theoretical inputs
- practice of new techniques
- simulations
- facilitated discussions
- role plays
It is important for us that participants develop real practical skills; therefore, we maintain a ratio of 80/20 between practical experimentation and theoretical input during the training.
Participants have the opportunity to immediately try out and experience the techniques demonstrated and explained by the trainer, and, based on targeted feedback, adjust and gradually improve their performance.
